OneScreen TL7 Firmware Installation Guide (Through Power Button)

Overview

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for updating the firmware on OneScreen TL7 device via USB drive method.

Requirements

  1. Ensure that you have downloaded the firmware files. If you haven’t, contact our support team at support@onescreensolutions.com )
  2. USB drive (Should be a maximum of 32GB)

Process

To install/upgrade the firmware on OneScreen TL7, please follow the steps below:

  1. Connect the USB to your PC. Right-click on the drive name in the Device and Drives section and click on Format. Then apply the settings shown in the picture below and press the Start button to format your USB using FAT-32

  2. Extract (Unzip) the firmware folder. If you don’t get an option to unzip the firmware files in your computer, you can download WinRAR or WinZip software to extract the files

  3. After the extraction process is complete, copy the extracted folder to the USB that you have formatted in the Step 1

  4. Copy the config file (provided by OneScreen Support Representative) to the USB. Make sure to only paste the single size specific config file into the USB e.g. for TL7-65 the config file will have the name: "CE65GA-BOP382A-G_projectid_select".

  5. Make sure that you don’t copy any other files on the USB after it has been formatted other than the files mentioned in Steps 3 and 4

  6. Plug the USB in the USB 2.0 port located at the rear of the Panel (make sure you do not use any other USB ports as this port is specific for firmware installation)

  7. Shut down the device by holding the power button for 3 seconds (until the power button light turns red)

  8. Keep the power button pressed down until TL7 boots into the upgrade screen

  9. You can release the power button once the device starts upgrading the firmware as shown below:

(Note: The firmware update may take up to 10 minutes. The OneScreen will turn on automatically once the firmware update is complete)
