Overview
The L7 comes with an array of Engagement Tools that can be accessed on any application and input source. These tools allow recording of the screen, capture screenshots, start a live poll and use the Spotlight to emphasize a particular part of the display among others.
Instructions
Access OneScreen Tools by pressing More in the Navigation bar.
1. OneScreen Class
OneScreen Class is an engagement tool that allows users to create a Class that participants can join to vote on polls, send live messages, and the user to randomly select single or multiple participants for engagement.
Press Enter the class to start a class.
A participant can join the OneScreen class by either:
1. Scanning the QR code
2. Browsing to the link and typing the pin through their phone.
The QR code can be enlarged by double pressing on it.
The participants can input their name once they have scanned the QR code, and then press Enter to join the class.
The picture shown below shows the homepage of OneScreen Class.
1.1 Voter
This tool allows participants to vote on single or multiple-choice questions or options.
1. Press Single choice to initiate a poll that allows participants to vote on a single option
2. Press Multiple choice to initiate a poll that allows participants to vote on multiple options
3. Press Begin to start a live poll.
The participant can select an option on the phone and press OK for the answer to be submitted.
Press Finish to end the poll. Press an option to choose the right answer. Once the right answer is selected the Answers Statistics are displayed. Press the bar of every option to see a list of all participants who selected that option.
1.2 Responder
Press START once the live poll has started and the first participant to answer will have their name shown on the L7. Repeat this by pressing Reset.
1.4 Message
Enable and disable messages from the participants by simply pressing Message.
Step 1: A participant can press Message on the phone
Step 2: Write a message and press Send for the message to be displayed on the L7
Add participants during the class by pressing Manager. A participant can join the Class by scanning the QR code or going to the link and typing the pin through their phone. The QR code can be enlarged by double pressing it.
1.5 Manager
Add participants during the class by pressing Manager. A participant can join the Class by scanning the QR code or going to the link and typing the pin through their phone. The QR code can be enlarged by double pressing it.
1.6 Exit
Press Exit to end the class.
2. Record
Record L7s display while using different tools or giving a lesson. Connect a microphone with the L7 for audio input to be recorded while using the Record tool. The recordings are saved in the internal storage of the L7 and can be shared with different users.
1. Press Rec to start recording the L7 display
2. Press Settings to change the resolution or the storage location of the recording and press Confirm to save the settings. The storage location can either be on the internal storage, flash drive or a synced cloud account.
3. Capture
Capture a screenshot of the screen and save it or directly upload it to OneScreen Write for teaching, collaboration, document editing, presenting and brainstorming ideas.
1. Press Free From to capture a specific area on the screen
2. Press Full to capture the full screen
3. Press Window to capture a specific window that is opened up on the L7
4. Press Save to save the screenshot to the Internal Storage
5. Press Insert to Whiteboard to upload the screenshot on OneScreen Write
6. Press Exit to exit the Capture Tool.
4. Spotlight
Highlight a specific portion of the screen during lectures and presentations. Press and slide to move the spotlight.
1. Press Settings and adjust the Zoom bar size to change the size of the spotlight, adjust the Clarity bar size to change the background transparency of the screen.
2. Press Exit to exit the Spotlight Tool
5. Freeze
Freeze the screen while displaying dynamic content such as videos or lectures on the L7.
1. Press the Zoom icons to zoom in or zoom out
2. Press Close to exit the Freeze Tool
The stopwatch measures time elapsed from a particular time and can also be used to measure time between events and activities. It counts down in seconds, minutes, and hours.
1. Press Start to activate the Stopwatch
2. Press Pause to pause the Stopwatch
3. Press Lap to create different lap timings
4. Press Continue to continue counting time
5. Press Reset to restart the Stopwatch
7. Timer
This tool activates the ringer at a preset time. It can be used to time meetings, assessments and different activities. Press Start after setting a preset time.
8. Calculator
Access the calculator to do mathematical calculations while using all the other applications on the L7.
