Overview
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for testing the RS232 commands for OneScreen T7.
Requirements
1. Female to USB Null Modem/Cross-over through RS232 cable
2. SSCOM software
Process
To test RS232 commands on OneScreen, ensure the following:
1. Connect the serial port of the female to the USB RS232 cable to the serial port at the back side of OneScreen and connect the USB side to the PC
2. Launch SSCOM and set the language to English
3. Now open COM settings and enter these values as shown in the screenshot. You need to select the port where your serial cable is connected to the PC. You can check it by going to This PC -> Properties -> Device Manager -> Universal Serial Bus Controllers
4. Enable Hex show and Send Hex options on SSCOM
5. Select the serial port on the ComNum option and click on Open COM
6. Write the command in the following window which you want to test and enter send
7. In this way you can test all commands on your OneScreen T7

Troubleshooting
1. Serial data not receiving at OneScreen side.
- Verify that female to USB RS232 cable selected is Null Modem/Cross-over through
- Verify that you have entered correct port settings, selected correct COM port and enabled options mentioned in point 5 of Process
2. Serial data receiving at OneScreen side but command not working
- Make sure that there is space after every two digits of command like shown in RS232 commands table
