T7 Firmware Update Guide (Debug Menu Method)
Overview
This guide provides step by step instructions for updating the firmware on OneScreen T7 device via
USB drive method
Requirements
- Ensure you’ve downloaded the firmware files. If you haven’t or are facing any difficulties, contact our support team at support@onescreensolutions.com )
- USB drive (Should be maximum32GB)
Process
To install/upgrade the firmware on OneScreen T7, ensure the following:
- Connect the USB to your PC. Right-click on the drive name in the Device and Drives section and click on Format. Then apply the settings shown in the picture below and press the ‘Start’ button to format your USB using exFAT
2. Extract (Unzip) the firmware folder. If you don’t get an option to unzip the firmware files in your computer, you can download WinRAR or WinZip software to extract the files
3. After the extraction is completed, copy the extracted folder (upgrade-3588 folder) to the USB that you
have formatted in the Step-1
4. Make sure that you don’t copy any other files on the USB after it has been formatted other than
the upgrade-3588 folder mentioned in Step 3
5. Plug the USB in the USB 3.0 port at the back of the Panel
6. Navigate to Home >Settings > About and tap on Android Version multiple times in quick
succession until Android System Window pops up then press back button. After that, quickly tap on
Kernel Version multiple times to open the Debug Menu of your screen. If the settings window is
on top again press the back button one time so the Debug menu is on top.
7. Press the Upgrade button inside the debug menu to open Upgrade menu of your T7
9. The panel will boot into the upgrade screen
10. The firmware update may take up to 10 mins. The OneScreen will turn on automatically once the Firmware update is completed
