Changing the I.P. address and/or Hostname

Step 1: Go to the following file location on the device on which PreScreen is installed:

This PC > Local Disk (C:) > Users > [User] > AppData > Roaming > OneScreen Prescreen

 

Step 2: Open the update_host file (windows batch file highlighted below):

 

 

 

Step 3: The following command prompt will open:

 

 

Step 4: Type “y” to change the I.P., type “N” to leave it unchanged:

 

 

Step 5: If you typed “y” (that is, to change the IP address), type in the new I.P. address you want according to the specified format and then press the Enter key:

 

 

Step 6: The command prompt will now ask you if you want to change the Hostname. Type “y” to change it, type “N” to leave it unchanged.

 

 

Step 7: If you typed “y” (that is, to change the hostname), type in the new hostname according to the specified format you want and then press the Enter key:

 

The command prompt will process your changes and close upon saving them.
