OneScreen TL6 Firmware Installation Guide (using the power button)

Overview

This guide provides step by step instructions for updating the firmware for OneScreen TL6 device via USB drive method.

Requirements

1. Please ensure that you’ve downloaded the firmware files If you haven’t, contact our support team at support@onescreensolutions.com).
2. USB drive (Should be maximum 32GB).

Process

STEP 1:

Format your USB drive using the FAT32 file system 

STEP 2:

Extract (Un-compress) the firmware file. [You can use WinRAR or WinZip for this step]

STEP 3:

You will get one bin file, copy this file to the USB drive. (Please make sure that only this file is present inside the USB)

STEP 4:

Plug the USB in one of the USB port on the left side of the OneScreen TL6 (not any of the front USB ports)

STEP 5:

Press the power button and keep it pressed until the OneScreen TL6 shutdowns and boots into the upgrade mode (Do not release power button until TL6 boots into upgrade screen)

STEP 6:

Once the boot option appears, at this point you can release the button. Firmware upgrade is in progress; during the process OneScreen TL6 will turn OFF twice and power button will become red, just press the button to turn ON the screen and firmware update will continue. This firmware update will take 5 to 10 mins to complete. 

STEP 7:

To ensure that the firmware was successfully installed. Please got to Settings - About the device - Firmware Version and check if firmware version has changed.
