RS232 Commands for T6

Overview 


 This guide provides step by step instructions for testing the RS232 commands for OneScreen T6.       


Requirements 

      

1. Male to USB Straight through RS232 cable              

 

                                                                               

2. SSCOM software


Process


To test RS232 commands on OneScreen, ensure the following:

1. Connect serial port of female to USB RS232 cable to serial port at back side of OneScreen and connect USB side to PC

 

2. Launch SSCOM and set language to English


3. Now open COM settings and enter these values as shown in screenshot. You need to select port in which your serial cable is connected to PC. You can check it by going to This PC -> Properties -> Device Manager -> Universal Serial Bus Controllers 


 

4. Enable Hex show and Send Hex options on SSCOM


    

5. Select serial port on ComNum option and click on Open COM  

6. Write the command in following window which you want to test and enter send


                 

7. In this way you can test all commands on your OneScreen T6

Troubleshooting


1. Serial Data not receiving at OneScreen side. 

 

Verify that female to USB RS232 cable selected is Straight through

 

Verify that you have entered correct port settings, selected correct COM port and enabled options mentioned in point 5 of Process

  

2. Serial Data receiving at OneScreen side but command not working. 

 

Make sure that there is space after every two digits of command like shown in RS232 commands table
